A one-day field trip to Varkala Cliff was conducted by the Department of Geography on 12th November 2024 to help geology students of MDC and Minor I DC gain practical insights into coastal geology, with a focus on understanding the cliff’s formation, rock composition, and geomorphological processes. The Varkala Cliff, an iconic natural structure on the Kerala coastline, is notable for its layers of sedimentary rock and rich laterite capping.
