The NCC unit of Sree Narayana College for Women , Kollam commemorated WORLD RIVER DAY on 24th September 2024, which aims to clean the river resources from plastic wastes and other impurities. The program was held in the Kollam Ashtamudi Canal Area which began with inaugural address by Principal Dr. Aswathy Sugunan, highlighting the importance of protecting our natural resources, water bodies and maintaining sustainable development for a better future. Also cadets did awareness programs with banners & posters in the nearby areas and at the Banks of the Ashtamudi lake which is being polluted by the rivers.
Posters are exhibited and placards were distributed to inform civilians about the harmful effects of water pollution & how to practice sustainable water usage for our future.
